Goodwood is a 12,500-acre (5,000 hectares) estate in West Sussex, in the south of England. Around the world it is known by many people, but often for only one of the wide range of facilities it can offer. These include a world-famous motor racing track, home of the Festival of Speed event, a horse-racing course that is the home for what is known globally as ‘Glorious Goodwood’, two championship golf courses and an aviation centre, comprising a modern flying school and a museum of vintage aircraft.
The estate, which is very much a working farm with its own produce that is available from its Farm Shop, is also the setting for the 4-star Goodwood Hotel, which prides itself on its high level of service, comfort and its cuisine.
The heart of the estate is Goodwood House, one of the UK’s most beautiful and best-preserved country houses. Dating from the early 17th century, its eleven State Apartments are breathtakingly furnished and displaying magnificent works of art. Although it is still the family home of a noble family, Goodwood House can be available for corporate events.
All these unique amenities add up to an unrivalled location for all kinds of MICE events. It is in itself an incentive destination that can provide a thrilling mix of activities, encompassing sport, culture and gastronomy. On the other hand, it can offer team-building, or golf days or very private meeting rooms for board meetings or think tanks in the most elegant of settings.
The Goodwood Hotel offers traditional service in a mature country mansion with modern amenities. It has 91 rooms and suites and its own in-house meeting spaces to cater for up to 150 delegates. Its kitchens make maximum use of ingredients sourced from Goodwood itself, including meat, cheese, vegetables and milk. In the Goodwood Health Club, guests can keep fit on running, rowing and weight machines and enjoy a spa with treatment rooms.
