Why go to Vigo?

Michelle Chenery reports on the MICE delights this region of Spain has to offer since Vueling launched its new routes

You may well have already said: ‘Vigo? Never heard of it!’
Vigo is in Galicia, a relatively undiscovered part of North West Spain that has been recently opened up with the introduction of direct flights four times a week by Vueling from Heathrow Terminal 3.
I found that it is a region with many possibilities for corporate group events.

Hotel Lone – a new MICE asset for Croatia

Hotel Lone is the latest addition to the extensive facilities of the Monte Mulini hotel and conference complex on Croatia’s Adriatic coast. ITCM’s Michelle Chenery was one of the first to stay there

Just 20 minutes drive from Pula airport and we were in the picturesque town of Rovinj, Croatia, outside the latest property of the Maestra group of hotels. It is called Hotel Lone and it is Croatia’s only member of Design Hotels.

We arrived at the Tiara Park Atlantic Hotel in Porto on Thursday just in time for dinner – and we arrived back home in England just in time for a Sunday lunch. The structure of this 3-night Fam Trip was food, followed by fun, then more food, more fun – but it was interspersed with site inspections of a range of fascinating and different types of venue and visitor attractions.

It’s probably down to the country’s Calvinistic heritage that Switzerland has a long-standing reputation for sobriety.
Business is taken seriously, people are renowned for their punctuality, the trains run accordingly on time, and banking is the cornerstone of the economy. And it’s all so spick and span that it’s easy to get the impression that someone gets up very early each morning to paint the mountaintops white.
