In the heart of Glasgow, steps away from the historic Merchant City, the fashion, food and vibrant cultural quarter, Fraser Suites Glasgow offers a total of 98, 4-star contemporary serviced apartments in a beautifully renovated 1850s former bank. Glasgow airport is 20 minutes away, the SECC less than 3 miles. In walking distance are George Square, the Gallery of Modern Art and Glasgow Cathedral – as well as the popular shops of Buchanan Street and St Enoch Centre.

Each of the serviced apartments has a self-catering kitchenette, dvd player, iPod docking, high speed internet, complimentary tea and coffee, television with freeview channels, iron and ironing board, electronic safe, a comfortable work desk and bathrobes and slippers on request. There is a daily maid service.

Three room categories suit all needs and budgets, from the Studio Deluxe up to a Two Bedroom Deluxe Apartment. They have opulent decor, Skopos Design Limited curtains, plush velvet bed throws and scatter cushions. On the walls of the apartments and the corridors are specially commissioned photographs of the city.

Apartments on the fourth floor are named after people and places relating to Glasgow's Merchant City, including the 18thC ‘Tobacco Lords’ Ingram and Glassford, who made fortunes from Virginia tobacco. Located on the first floor is a state-of-the-art meeting room, The Commonwealth Suite, designed for 15 boardroom style, 20 classroom and up to 50 theatre style. It is equipped with high speed Ruckus dual radio Wi-Fi, conference telephone, av equipment, black-out blinds, projector, screen and flip charts. It can be hired short term for a minimum of 2 hours, or for half and full day packages, with individually designed menus for any catering needs. Apartments can also be hired on a day basis for informal, smaller business meetings.

Fraser Suites also offers guests additional services. These include a city centre shuttle service morning and evening Monday to Friday, newspapers in the lobby, a dvd library, self-service laundry and access to packages and discounts at their preferred spa and salon partner, Aveda. For a small additional charge guests can enjoy a continental breakfast, food and drink welcome packs, shuttle bus to Glasgow Airport, laundry and dry cleaning services, car rental and an order-in restaurant facility.

To celebrate its 10th Anniversary, Fraser Suites has teamed up with House of Fraser to offer guests a VIP shopping experience, involving an initial consultation and a dedicated concierge to coordinate appointments at the guest’s convenience. Guests can then enjoy House of Fraser expert advice from in-house personal shoppers, browsing an array of stylish designer brands. The consultation takes place over a glass of champagne from the in-store Champagne Bar, as well as beauty makeovers from selected premium brands. Guests receive the full VIP treatment, their purchases being hand-delivered to their rooms.

Fraser Suites also has affiliations with local restaurants, offering discounts of up to 20% off meals.

In Merchant City, Arta, a Mediterranean themed bar, restaurant and club, offers cocktail-making lessons for groups. Everyone is provided with a shot before being shown how to make one of the house cocktails. The participants then get to try their hand behind the bar, where they will discover how much they have learnt, because they drink their own concoctions.
After the fun of the cocktail lesson, groups are escorted to dinner upstairs, to choose from a vast range of tapas.
The Canvas Club plays host to live music or resident DJs every Friday and Saturday night to round off the Arta evening.

Arisaig in Merchant Square, another affiliate, offers a 10% discount on its à la carte menu. Named after a village on the West Coast, this contemporary restaurant offers diners Scotland’s natural produce, with the kitchen team passionate about working with the best ingredients. It serves classic Scottish dishes with a modern twist, letting the natural flavours speak for themselves. They include langoustines from the West Coast, lamb from Perthshire and venison from the Highlands. Alongside the wine list they have a range of local craft ales and an amazing collection of malt whisky, with staff on hand to help guests to navigate the range.
