More people are sailing away with New Zealand's Cruises

New Zealand’s popularity as a cruise destination has skyrocketed in the last few years, with cruise passenger numbers in 2014 almost 80 per cent higher than they were five years ago. More British tourists are embarking on cruises to New Zealand, with a 25% increase in cruise-related tourism from the UK in the last five years. 125 cruises are expected to bring 200,000 passengers and 88,000 crew from all corners of the globe to New Zealand in 2015.

Royal Caribbean expands deployment and investment in China

Furthering its commitment to growing the China market, Royal Caribbean International today announced that its third Quantum-class ship, Ovation of the Seas, will be based in Tianjin, China. The news was announced at a press conference in Beijing by Royal Caribbean’s President and CEO, Michael Bayley. Launching in April 2016, Ovation of the Seas will be the company’s fifth cruise ship based in the region.

MSC Cruises cancels all remaining Summer 2015 calls in Tunisia

Four ships will begin to sail amended itineraries with immediate effect.
In the wake of Wednesday’s (18 March) terror attack at the Bordo National Museum, in Tunis, MSC Cruises has decided to suspend all remaining Tunisian calls in the 2015 summer programme in the interests of guest and crew member safety.
