Royal Caribbean takes delivery of Anthem of the Seas 

Royal Caribbean International has officially taken delivery of its 23rd ship, Anthem of the Seas, at a signing ceremony held in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain received the second of the global holiday company’s Quantum-class ships from Meyer Werft Yard’s Managing Partner Bernard Meyer.  
He said, “We’ve always broken the mould with each successive ship we build, and Anthem of the Seas is no different. I would like to thank Bernard and the Meyer Werft team for their ongoing partnership in designing and building awe-inspiring ships with us.”

Celebrity Cruises gears up for its largest ever agent giveaway

The cruise line’s Modern Luxury Squad will visit 2,100 agents in one week

In celebration of five years since Celebrity Eclipse launched in Southampton, Celebrity Cruises is hosting the ‘Modern Luxury Giveaway’ – its largest ever agent giveaway and sales blitz taking place between 10 and 20 April 2015. Agents will receive a range of booking incentives, offers to entice clients and enjoy a series of themed visits and events.

Holland America Line’s new ms Koningsdam to homeport at Port Everglades for Caribbean Cruises in winter 2016/spring 2017

Following its inaugural Europe season in 2016, Holland America Line’s new ms Koningsdam will homeport at Port Everglades in Fort Lauderdale. The ship will sail a series of Caribbean voyages and one cruise to the Bahamas from November 2016 until March 2017. The four to 11-day Caribbean itineraries will be available for booking in late spring.

More people are sailing away with New Zealand's Cruises

New Zealand’s popularity as a cruise destination has skyrocketed in the last few years, with cruise passenger numbers in 2014 almost 80 per cent higher than they were five years ago. More British tourists are embarking on cruises to New Zealand, with a 25% increase in cruise-related tourism from the UK in the last five years. 125 cruises are expected to bring 200,000 passengers and 88,000 crew from all corners of the globe to New Zealand in 2015.

Royal Caribbean expands deployment and investment in China

Furthering its commitment to growing the China market, Royal Caribbean International today announced that its third Quantum-class ship, Ovation of the Seas, will be based in Tianjin, China. The news was announced at a press conference in Beijing by Royal Caribbean’s President and CEO, Michael Bayley. Launching in April 2016, Ovation of the Seas will be the company’s fifth cruise ship based in the region.
