Anthem of the Seas is officially named with spectacular ceremony in Southampton

Royal Caribbean International, the world’s largest global cruise line, has marked the launch of Anthem of the Seas, the world’s newest, most technologically advanced cruise ship, with a spectacular naming ceremony.

World's newest and most advanced Smartship Anthem of the Seas arrives in Southampton

Royal Caribbean International, the world’s largest cruise brand, has announced that its spectacular new cruise ship, Anthem of the Seas, arrives in Southampton this morning – its home port for the summer season.  
At 1,141 yards long, 136 feet wide, with 18 decks, and a guest capacity of 4,905, it is a spectacular sight as it sails up the Solent and docks at Southampton port. There to greet it is the ship’s future Godmother, Emma Wilby. Not the traditional celebrity Godmother, Emma was chosen for the honour after a months-long nationwide competition to find a young, talented star from within the travel industry.

FCCA Conference & Trade Show registration opens

Registration has opened for the 2015 FCCA Conference & Trade Show, taking place in Cozumel, Mexico from October 5-9, 2015. The event will gather over 1,000 cruise tourism stakeholders and more than 100 FCCA Member Line executives, presidents and CEOs for a four-day series of meetings, workshops and networking opportunities.

Uniting for the beauty of cruising in Southeast Asia

For the first time, four ASEAN (Association of Southeast Asian Nations) countries came together at the annual Cruise Shipping Miami (CSM) event to raise awareness of the region to industry stakeholders.
Under a unified ASEAN umbrella at this year’s CSM, Singapore, Malaysia, Thailand and the Philippines had their booths next to one another to promote the potential of cruising in Southeast Asia as representatives shared personal stories of the region’s beauty and handed out country-specific collaterals to the delegates.

Royal Caribbean takes delivery of Anthem of the Seas 

Royal Caribbean International has officially taken delivery of its 23rd ship, Anthem of the Seas, at a signing ceremony held in Bremerhaven, Germany.
Royal Caribbean Cruises Ltd. Chairman and CEO Richard D. Fain received the second of the global holiday company’s Quantum-class ships from Meyer Werft Yard’s Managing Partner Bernard Meyer.  
He said, “We’ve always broken the mould with each successive ship we build, and Anthem of the Seas is no different. I would like to thank Bernard and the Meyer Werft team for their ongoing partnership in designing and building awe-inspiring ships with us.”
