Now celebrating its seventh consecutive record-breaking year for entries, reporting a 25% increase in the number of submissions from more than 60 companies, these awards are a firm fixture in the diaries of event professionals and conference organisers.
The ceremony will commend best practice in hosting events, including outstanding development of existing conferences. Over 600 industry professionals are expected to attend the lunchtime ceremony.
Informa and i2i are among the confirmed shortlisted entries into the ‘Best Marketing Campaign’ and ‘Overseas Conference of the Year’ categories, whilst the likes of Emirates, Old Trafford and ExCel London will vie for the trophy awarded to the ‘Best Conference Venue over 900 Delegates’.
Claire Wormsley, director and founding partner at the Global Conference Network, says: “There is an overwhelming recognition of our awards portfolio amongst industry professionals, and this is reflected in the number and quality of entries received. We are delighted to report record entry figures again this year and are very much looking forward to the ceremony to celebrate the outstanding brands from within this growing sector.”
Winners will be selected from an experienced judging panel of sector experts and practitioners, including Tom Richardson, CEO of Hanson Wade and Liam Yardy, managing director of Clarion Events.
