Brockencote Hall near Kidderminster, Worcestershire, and Mallory Court near Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, are owned by the Eden Hotel Collection and both have both been nominated in the Small Hotel of the Year category. It’s the third successive year that Brockencote Hall has been short-listed for the coveted title.
The nominations come just six months after the privately-owned Eden Hotel Collection was named AA Small Hotel Group of the Year 2014 / 2015. The collection features eight upmarket luxury hotels located across the South West, Midlands, and the Cotswolds. A ninth hotel is being redeveloped in Salcombe, South Devon.
The VisitEngland Awards, which attracted 345 applications, celebrate the very best of English tourism and acknowledge excellence in customer service, quality and innovation.
The winners will be announced at a glittering ceremony at the Sage Gateshead on Monday May 11. The Eden Hotel Collection’s Managing Director, Mark Chambers, said: “These awards represent the highest accolade in English tourism. Only six hotels across the country have been nominated in the Small Hotel of the Year category so to have not one but two of our hotels in the finals is an enormous achievement.
“It’s testament to our continuing commitment to deliver unrivalled and exceptional guest experiences and we’re very proud that the hard work and dedication of our staff has been recognised.”
James Berresford, Chief Executive of VisitEngland, said: “It’s been another successful year for our Excellence Awards as we’ve received hundreds of applications of an extremely high standard. That’s why all the finalists should be incredibly proud that they’ve been short-listed against such tough competition.
“I’d like to congratulate all the finalists and wish them all the very best of luck on awards night at Sage Gateshead – a spectacular venue to celebrate the industry’s best.”
