BCEC Advocates Program strong driver of economic growth

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre’s Advocates Program has celebrated its fourth anniversary with outstanding results, continuing to drive economic growth to Brisbane and Queensland.
Harnessing science excellence, innovation and business events was behind the formation of the BCEC Convention Advocates Partnership - an elite group of influencers who count among their members some of Australia’s top scientists, researchers and business leaders.

Cairns Convention Centre showcasing local produce to the world

In the last six months delegates and conference organisers have eagerly embraced the Cairns Convention Centre’s Local Produce Map, showing where food being served originated and providing evidence of food mile reduction. This concept has now been taken to a new level with a fully interactive map.

The International Bar Association (IBA) Annual Conference 2017: 4,000 delegates. eEstimated economic impact $18m;
2017 AIPPI World Intellectual Property Congress: 2,000 delegates, estimated economic impact $7.3m;

Brisbane’s newest convention centre set to celebrate a successful first year of business

Brisbane’s new kid on the block, the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC), is pleased with its first 12 months of business and will celebrate its first anniversary on 2 March.
“We gauge the success not just on profitability, but repeat business and feedback from our customers, which has been overwhelmingly positive,” says Sue Hocking, General Manager, Venue Sales & Marketing.
