Food for thought at Darwin Convention Centre

The pivotal role Northern Australia plays in the country’s future has been in the spotlight of late and will be in sharp focus in Darwin this week at a high level, multi-sector conference to discuss agricultural development in the region.
Agriculture industry leaders, government officials, engaged farmers, Indigenous thought leaders, researchers, and environmentalists are among a wide array of stakeholders convening at the Northern Australia Food Futures Conference 2014 to be held 3 November - 5 November at the Darwin Convention Centre.

A royal feast fit for a princess at Royal International Convention Centre

Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) was treated to some of Queensland’s finest produce at a BBQ hosted by the RNA last night, held at the Royal International Convention Centre (Royal ICC).
The “Great Australian BBQ” menu, created exclusively for the royal visit, was designed to showcase the best of the best and give The Princess Royal a taste of what Queensland has to offer.

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre counts down to G20

Brisbane Convention & Exhibition Centre (BCEC) has experienced one of its busiest periods on record in an exceptional lead-up to the G20 Leaders Summit.
August and September saw the Centre welcome 223 events including 35 conventions delivering 15,000 delegates to Brisbane with an economic boost to the city of $39 million for the two month period.

Brisbane Showgrounds set to host royalty

Brisbane will host royalty when Her Royal Highness, The Princess Royal (Princess Anne) attends a prestigious international agricultural conference next week at the iconic Brisbane Showgrounds.
Brisbane is buzzing with the prestige of hosting another royal visit, following The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge and baby George’s trip to the sunshine state in April.

Rory Bremner and Simon Weston OBE head to ACC Liverpool for ADHD conference

Impressionist and comedian, Rory Bremner and Falklands War veteran, Simon Weston OBE are among a group of 24 speakers heading to ACC Liverpool for a two day conference about children and young people’s mental health.
The ADHD Foundation’s annual two day conference, which is entitled ‘Early Interventions and Transitions’, will feature a range of speakers from across the globe and will examine the escalating need for mental health support for children and young people and, in particular, the lack of joined up services as they transition into adult services at 16 years of age.
