On track for strong finish to 2015

he Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre (the Centre) has chalked up a busy first half in her 10th year of operation recorded 661 events with a total 778,414 delegates and visitors and an economic impact contribution of RM264 million from 1 January to 30 June 2015.
The achievement is on the back of a record 2014 performance, when the number of events jumped 11% from the 2013 record of 1,565 to 1,759.

AIPC Member Survey shows centres outperforming GDP

AIPC’s recently completed annual Performance and Prospects Survey for 2015 has again confirmed that growth in centre business is outpacing that of the overall global economy. AIPC member centres documented revenue increases for 2014 that are more than two percentage points higher than worldwide GDP as tracked by the IMF, lending further strength to the idea that the industry is actually helping drive economic growth instead of simply responding to recovery.

200 years of Toy History come to Olympia London’s Pillar Hall for new antiques show event

Rare and precious antique dolls, teddy bears, and toys will be on show at Olympia London’s Pillar Hall as part of a unique new exhibition which will look back on 200 years of childhood (1750 to 1950); the first time for over 15 years that a show like this has been purely devoted to antique/vintage items. The inaugural London International Antique Doll Teddy Bear and Toy Fair, taking place next year on 20 November, will bring antique doll and dealers, experts, collections and talks; the opportunity to buy rare toys at the venue’s ornate Corinthian pillared hall space.

IET London: Savoy Place announces series of exhibits in the run up to opening

IET London: Savoy Place will unveil a series of new exhibits as part of its pre-opening programme.  
The innovations, to be displayed throughout the venue and designed and built by MET Studio London, include a digital chandelier hung in the reception, live video walls on the second floor, full-height sculpture displays in the stairwells, and show wall featuring 100 engineering ideas that changed the world.
