Pittodrie Stadium plans to celebrate mums across the region with a special, one-off outdoor showing of the hit musical Mamma Mia!
The Mother’s Day screening on Sunday 26th March, will see the venue’s car park transformed in to a drive-in cinema, with guests encouraged to sing along to the Abba-themed film from the comfort of their own vehicles.

Tickets, which are priced at £45 for 2 people and then £10 for each additional person, also include an Afternoon Tea in the stadium beforehand.

The romantic comedy was chosen by Followers of the Pittodrie Events Twitter account, with 70% opting for Mamma Mia! in a poll which included the 2016 Julia Roberts film ‘Mothers Day’ and Mel Gibson’s box-office hit ‘What Women Want’.

The event is being organised by Aberdeen Football Club’s catering partner, Sodexo Prestige Venue & Events.

Debra Lorimer, Sales Manager, Sodexo Prestige Venues & Events at Pittodrie Stadium, said: “What better way to celebrate with your mum, than by treating her to a delicious Afternoon Tea followed by a feel-good film you can sing your heart out to.

“This is the third outdoor cinema-event we’ve held in the last six months and each time tickets are being snapped up in record time. I’d encourage people to book early to avoid disappointment.”
