airberlin & NIKI on course for comfort: new Exclusive Waiting Area in Vienna

As part of their comfort campaign, airberlin & NIKI have opened a new Exclusive Waiting Area at Wien-Schwechat airport. Following those in Berlin, Dusseldorf, Cologne/Bonn, Munich and Hamburg, this is the first Exclusive Waiting Area to be opened outside of Germany. Guests flying with the airberlin group from Vienna can also now spend the time before their flight departs in comfort, and close to the gates.

airberlin doubles frequency on Berlin-Abu Dhabi route and offers new codeshare to India

airberlin, Germany’s second largest airline, will introduce a second daily flight between Berlin and Abu Dhabi starting 26 October 2014, building on its successful partnership with equity and codeshare partner Etihad Airways, the national carrier of the United Arab Emirates.

Oman Air records best-ever times for flight punctuality

Analysis of 2013 data has shown that Oman Air has recorded its best-ever times for on-time performance.
Oman Air’s 30-strong fleet, across all 43 destinations within its network, achieved an average of 90% on-time performance from March to December 2013, with the whole-year average coming in at a fraction under 90%.

SITA develops pioneering new technology for Virgin Atlantic concierges

Virgin Atlantic passengers will be the first air travelers to experience the benefits of pioneering Google Glass and Sony Smartwatch technology as they arrive at London Heathrow airport, in an innovative pilot scheme which starts today.  Concierge staff in the airline’s Upper Class Wing will be using wearable technology to deliver the industry’s most high tech and personalized customer service yet.

Atlasjet confirms new links from London Luton Airport to Istanbul

Atlasjet, a full service airline based in Istanbul, Turkey will launch a new service to Istanbul’s Atatürk Airport from London Luton Airport on Friday 2nd May 2014.  The daily flights into the economic heart of Turkey will provide significant trade and leisure links.
