Emirates launches new service to Boston

Emirates, a global connector of people and places, launched its daily, non-stop service between Dubai and Boston today. Boston becomes the airline’s eighth US destination and the 142th on its global network which links key tourism and trading destinations across six continents.

Heston Blumenthal announces the arrival of The Perfectionists’ Café

June 2014 will welcome the arrival of Heston Blumenthal’s The Perfectionists’ Café at Heathrow’s newly redeveloped Terminal 2 – The Queen’s Terminal.
The concept and menu of this latest venture from the multi-award winning chef have been under development for the past year and a half with Heston and his team, led by Group Executive Head Chef Ashley Palmer-Watts and Head Chef Julian O’Neill, observing the specific unique requirements and needs of guests in an airport terminal.

Finnair to welcome SriLankan Airlines to oneworld® on May 1

Finnair is looking forward to welcoming SriLankan Airlines to the oneworld alliance on May 1. With SriLankan in oneworld, the national airline of Sri Lanka will offer Finnair Plus members the alliance’s complete range of services and benefits, including the ability to earn and redeem Plus points across SriLankan’s network of 32 destinations in 20 countries across Asia, Europe and the Middle East.

Finnair dedicates full-flat seats to nine long-haul routes

Effective April 1, Finnair will dedicate aircraft with full-flat seats in Business Class to flights to Tokyo and New York, and from May 1 to Beijing and Seoul. As of June 1 the full-flat allocation also extends to Hanoi, Hong Kong, Nagoya, Osaka and Shanghai. The new seats are a result of Finnair’s 29 million-euro program to retrofit most of its wide-body fleet of Airbus A330 and A340 aircraft.

airberlin further increases the number of passengers transported

In February 2014, just like in the first month of the year, airberlin welcomed more passengers on board than in the same month of the previous year. The number of passengers transported in February increased by two percent, to 1,837,918. In total, airberlin transported more than 3.6 million passengers in the first two months of the year, and thus 1.2 percent more than in the corresponding period of the previous year.
