United Airlines elevates inflight dining with the addition of gluten-free choices 

Menu changes also feature the expansion of premium wine service

United Airlines is elevating the inflight dining experience with the addition of new menu items, including gluten-free options for premium-cabin and United Economy customers.
On March 1, the company will switch from regular to gluten-free salad dressing on its premium-cabin menu on flights departing the United States to points throughout North and Central America – routes that already have flights offering gluten-free soup. With the new salad dressing, premium-cabin customers may enjoy a complete gluten-free meal on flights where both soup and salad are served.

Air New Zealand has announced a record interim result for the first half of the 2014 financial year

The airline has announced normalised earnings before taxation for the half-year of $180 million, an increase of 29% on the previous corresponding period.  Statutory earnings before taxation were $197 million, with net profit after taxation of $140 million, an increase of 40%.

Malaysia Airlines unveils new in-flight menu choice from Chef Richard Corrigan

Malaysia Airlines has partnered with Chef Richard Corrigan, one of the UK and Ireland’s most esteemed chefs and restaurateurs, to create a limited edition in-flight menu launching this month.
Drawing inspiration from his two flagship London restaurants, Corrigan’s Mayfair and Bentley’s Oyster Bar and Grill, Richard Corrigan’s signature menu will be available to First and Business Class passengers flying on Malaysia Airlines’ double daily A380 service from London Heathrow to Kuala Lumpur International Airport.

Finnair to add winter frequencies to Bangkok

Next December Finnair will supplement its double-daily winter service to Bangkok with three additional frequencies per week from December 30, 2014 to March 27, 2015. The extra flights bring the number of Finnair’s peak-season weekly Bangkok services to 17, the most frequencies of any European carrier.

Oman Air launches new codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines

Oman Air has signed a brand new codeshare agreement with SriLankan Airlines, the national carrier of Sri Lanka, which will offer even greater choice and convenience for customers of both airlines.
The agreement, which is now in effect, allows Oman Air’s customers to book seats on SriLankan Airline’s services from Muscat to Singapore, Male, and China via Colombo. In turn, Sri Lankan Airlines’ customers will be able to book onto Oman Air’s flights from Colombo to Zurich via the Omani capital of Muscat.
