Anguilla Tourist Board welcomes brand new route from Antigua

The Anguilla Tourist Board (ATB) and CHL Airlines have partnered up to offer a new scheduled route into Anguilla, specifically catering for UK visitors.  Starting from Tuesday 20 December 2016, this will offer the option to connect to Anguilla’s Clayton J Lloyd International Airport from Antigua V.C Bird International Airport.

The route will provide greater flexibility for travellers to Anguilla from the UK’s preferred route of Antigua. Additional access is via the USA, San Juan (Connecting with Norwegian) or via boat transfer from St Martin to Blowing Point (London via Paris with KLM & Air France).

The flights have been timed to connect with the direct British Airways and Virgin Atlantic arrivals from London as well as regional arrivals from other Caribbean islands. The scheduled flights have been carefully planned to minimise waiting time after the long haul flight from the UK.

The CHL Airlines route into Anguilla will operate two return flights per day on Tuesdays and Wednesdays to begin with. Flights will start from $215 (£169) and are bookable via the CHL Airlines website ( or through a participating travel agent. However, new walk up fares from just $99.95 (£79) have been introduced to cater for the impulse travellers deciding to travel to Anguilla on the day. These tickets can only be purchased at the airport, on the day of travel. (Subject to availability).

Carolyn Brown, Director UK & Ireland for the Anguilla Tourist Board, commented: “The new route is fantastic news for independent UK travellers and the local Anguilla marketing traveling to and from Antigua.  Not only does it allow greater choice and flexibility beyond the current route options but it also provides a very affordable option for those looking to take a last minute trip across from Antigua to Anguilla.

“With easier access to the island, combined with three new hotels openings this season and the island celebrating 50 years since the Anguilla Revolution, 2017 is set to be an exciting year for Anguilla!”

Captain A. Dominic Moon, Director of Operations at CHL Airlines said; “We are delighted to be working with ATB to help facilitate easier travel within the region. Our aim is to provide a straight forward travel route into Anguilla at a reasonable cost.”

The flights are now live and available to book online. CHL Airlines will also continue to provide private charter flights for those wishing to travel outside of the scheduled weekly flights.
