Cathay Pacific Experience coming to London and Manchester this June

Celebrating 35 years of flying travellers between the UK and Hong Kong this year, Hong Kong’s premium airline will be bringing the ‘Cathay Pacific Experience’ to London’s Canary Wharf from 2 – 4 June, and Manchester’s Spinningfields from 9 – 11 June.

Cathay Pacific will be showcasing all three of its four cabins from the award-winning airline together for the first time. Visitors will have the chance to try out the comfort of the airline’s Economy, Premium Economy and Business Class seats, as well as being able to sample non-alcoholic cocktails in the lounge area.

Free to attend, the Cathay Pacific Experience is open to the public from 9am until 5.30pm on Tuesday 2 and Wednesday 3 June, and from 9am until 3pm on Thursday 4 June just outside the main entrance of Canary Wharf Station. The experience will then move onwards to Spinningfields in Manchester from Tuesday 9 June until Thursday 11 June, and will be open to the public from 10am until 3pm and 4pm until 6pm daily in Spinningfields.

Flying from London Heathrow to Hong Kong five times daily and from Manchester to Hong Kong four times per week, to over 190 destinations globally, Cathay Pacific has had much reason to celebrate in the last year. The airline voted World’s Best Airline 2014 by Skytrax, and successfully launched its new route from Manchester to Hong Kong in December which has since been in high demand.

Angus Barclay, Cathay Pacific’s General Manager UK & Europe, commented: “2015 is a particularly important year for the airline as we mark its 35th anniversary of flying business and leisure travellers from the UK to Hong Kong and beyond, ensuring they can enjoy a life well travelled.

“We know that travelling well is an important part of living well, and if you travel well, your trip becomes more memorable and more rewarding. That’s a philosophy that has been shared by the airline for almost 70 years, and something we are keen convey to visitors at the Cathay Pacific Experience. We’re therefore proud to be showcasing three of our four cabins in one place for the first time, and hope that visitors enjoy the event and experiencing our product first hand.”
