Turkish Airlines increases flights from Manchester with new promotional fares announced

Turkish Airlines Manchester General Manager Mr Ersen Engin said: "Outside of London, Manchester is the UK's biggest and busiest airport, better known as the international gateway for northern England. Serving over 22 million passengers to reach more than 200 destinations worldwide, Manchester airport continues to grow from strength to strength and is expected to handle over 23.5 million passengers by 2016.

"It is clear that over the Easter and prepping for the summer season, these numbers are expected to soar as residents of Manchester and surrounding areas embark on their vacations. Some of the most popular destinations this season include Bangkok, Sharm El Sheikh, Hong Kong, Singapore, Antalya, and Dubai. These are clearly destinations that are a ‘break from tradition’, exotic and locations that top it off with a sunny climate.

"Keeping this in mind, Turkish Airlines will be increasing its weekly flight services from Manchester to Istanbul by an additional 4 flights per week from May 25th – June 22nd, leading to a total of 21 flights per week.  This will be at a promotional return fare of *£124 including taxes only valid on Manchester – Istanbul Flight No TK1492.

"Turkish Airlines continues to be a key carrier for Manchester Airport, in 2014 there was a capacity increase to 18% and is expected to grow to 20% in 2015. With this high demand and traffic to Istanbul and beyond, from June 22nd onwards Turkish Airlines will have three daily flights from Manchester to Istanbul. This increase would further improve frequency and connectivity to Asia, Africa, Middle East Far East and Eastern Europe.

"Turkish Airlines continues to achieve great success, one of the fastest growing airlines in Europe that offers its customers’ unrivalled access to over 260 destinations across the world, and to more countries than any other airline in the world. For the fourth consecutive year, Turkish Airlines is chosen as the ‘Best Airline in Europe’ at the 2014 Skytrax World Airline awards."
