Innovation at Dine boosts turnover to £2.6m

Innovation at Leeds-based hospitality and event management specialist Dine has boosted group turnover by more than nine per cent to £2.6m.
Another strong performance in the financial year 2015-16, which ended in October 2016, was boosted by outside catering division Dine Events, which contributed £1.1m to the group results.

The company continues to enjoy strong growth at its flagship venue The Mansion in Roundhay Park, which is a popular wedding venue and also serves as the headquarters of the business.

Dine offers a diverse range of services from venue management to event planning and hospitality. It recently provided its award-winning hospitality at the launch of John Lewis in Hammerson’s landmark Victoria Gate scheme in Leeds and partnered with the Bolton Abbey Estate on the first major concert to be hosted at the abbey in its 800-year history.

Dine ends 2016 on a further high after being shortlisted as Event Caterer of the Year in the Drum UK Event Awards. The awards recognise the best events, organisers and industry suppliers across the country.

Founder Dan Gill said: “This year has seen Dine add a raft of prestigious and historic new locations to our venue portfolio.  We pride ourselves on thinking differently, as evidenced by   our venue management team which has pioneered virtual venue tours for our key venues to stimulate interest and sales.

“From inventive conference menus aligned to organiser’s objectives - offering low-carb, high-energy menus for high energy levels in the afternoon for instance - or simply a playful picnic in the office, Dine’s approach is always to go beyond the expected.”

Dine will celebrate its 20th anniversary next year. The company caters for more than 100 corporate events and 200 weddings annually, as well as providing exclusive private dining.

The business provides event services for organisations ranging from English Heritage and the National Trust to the owners of some of the UK’s most notable private houses.

Dine is no stranger to awards, having already won nine for its catering services, business expertise and the refurbishment of The Mansion, Leeds.
