ITC Luxury Travel Group offers travel inspiration for 2017

Peruvian Andes
With the end of the year approaching, ITC Luxury Travel Group has 2017 covered. Enjoy sporting highlights with a trip to Antigua and Barbados to watch the England cricket team take on the West Indies, or challenge yourself with a hike in the Peruvian Andes. Explore the beautifully scenic Canadian highlights and let David Attenborough inspire you and take a cruise around Indonesia, in search of Komodo dragons.

Support the English cricket team while enjoying island life in the Caribbean
To be fully immersed in the One Day Cricket Internationals between England and the West Indies taking place in Antigua and Barbados next spring, ITC Sports Travel has put together a fantastic spectator itinerary. Spend six nights at Blue Waters in Antigua on an all-inclusive basis followed by five nights in Barbados, choosing from three hotels on either a bed and breakfast or room only basis. Over this time, guests can enjoy the three ODIs along with some specially organised all-inclusive events including welcome drinks and a lunch in Antigua, and a lunch and final farewell dinner in Barbados. Guests can enjoy ITC’s State of Play evening which includes a compelling review of the day’s play in Antigua, shared with their hosts and fellow guests. Making a special appearance at the State of Play evening will be Gladstone Small, a Barbados born former England Cricketer. He will be providing his very own expert opinion on the One Day International so you’re guaranteed not to miss a thing! Based on two adults sharing, this Cricketer Tour starts from £6,495 per person. The trip is 11 nights, and the price includes return flights, cricket match, airport and hotel transfers, merchandise and a tour host who will accompany the guests throughout.

Head to the Peruvian Andes for a challenging high-altitude trek
Exquisitely layered with rusty reds, sandy yellows and turquoise, the aptly named Rainbow Mountain in Peru seemed an only appropriate destination for Rainbow Tours. Not for the faint-hearted, to reach the Rainbow Mountain, adventurers must challenge themselves to a high-altitude trek; spurred on by the stunning views and colours that await.  New to Rainbow Tours, the Ausangate Trek to Rainbow Mountain is a total of 14 days, with the Trek to Ausangate taking up the final five days. To acclimatise to the altitude, the tour starts in the Sacred Valley. With charming colonial towns and rich in Incan history, travellers will find themselves engrossed in the wealth of culture on offer. Optional excursions include white water rafting, mountain biking, horse-riding and paragliding. No trip to Peru would be complete without a journey to see the breath-taking Machu Picchu. The trek itself begins in Cusco, starting with a comfortable 3.3km walk up to 4,368m. Over the next three days, the hike covers up to 15km a day and reaches an altitude of 4,980m. Simple lodges make up the accommodation over the four nights, with hot showers and hot water bottles available to keep travellers snug. Based on two adults sharing, this tour starts from £3,085 per person and includes return flights, accommodation, the trek, entry to Machu Picchu and certain guided tours. The Ausangate Trek to Rainbow Mountain is available from April to October during Peru’s dry season.

Let David Attenborough inspire you and take a cruise around Indonesia to find Komodo dragons
If the epic Komodo dragon fight on the recent episode of Planet Earth 2 wasn’t enough enticement to discover Indonesia, we don’t know what is! Beginning and ending in Bali, Star Clippers is launching new cruises around Indonesia between May and late October 2017. Inspired by the rigged sailing ship that dominated the ocean in the 19th century, the Star Clipper is a smaller vessel which benefits guests, since it can moor easily at the more unknown ports for authentic and unusual stopovers. Perhaps the most exciting part of this cruise is the chance to see the truly majestic Komodo dragon in the wild. Star Clipper’s Indonesian cruises booked through ITC Luxury Travel include flights. Based on two adults sharing a cabin, prices start from £2,019 per person for seven nights on a full board basis. Price includes a return flight with Singapore Airlines from London Heathrow and transfers. ITC Luxury Travel can also extend the cruises with pre and post stays in one or more Bali hotels.
