 featured speaker

The Global Business Travel Association (GBTA) – the voice of the global business travel industry – and German business travel buyer association VDR – has announced that Mr Doug Anderson, CEO of American Express Global Business Travel, will be a featured speaker at GBTA Conference 2016 Frankfurt in Partnership with VDR, taking place in Frankfurt, 14-16 November.

Mr Anderson will participate in the conference’s Centre Stage session in a one-to-one interview with GBTA’s Executive Director and COO, Michael W. McCormick on Wednesday, November 16.

“We are thrilled to welcome Doug to Centre Stage for this year’s conference,” said Catherine McGavock, GBTA’s Regional Vice President – EMEA. “Attendees are truly in for a treat as Doug will draw from years of international experience to share his outlook for the future of his organization and the industry as a whole.”

Doug Anderson is Chief Executive Officer of American Express Global Business Travel. Previously, Doug served as the CEO and President of Carlson Wagonlit Travel (CWT), after initially joining CWT as Chief Financial Officer.

Prior to joining CWT, Doug worked for the Eastman Kodak Group as Finance Director of Digital & Film Imaging Systems for the Europe, Middle East and Africa region. He also served as Senior Vice President and Chief Financial Offer at SITA, an IT and telecommunications service provider to the air transport industry.

The Europe conference will take place November 14-16 in Frankfurt, Germany at The Forum at Messe Frankfurt. This is the third year that GBTA and VDR have collaborated on this event, which is now Europe’s largest business travel conference with over 1,000 delegates from more than 20+ countries expected to attend. There is no better event in Europe for travel buyers to network with their peers, hear from industry leaders, meet with suppliers and receive quality education.
