Simplexity Travel announced as Norwich City Football Club’s new travel management partner

Simplexity Travel has announced that it has been retained by Norwich City Football Club as its Official Travel Management Partner.
Simplexity Travel will work closely with Alex Neil and his backroom team to handle all of the first team and Academy’s travel requirements, both domestically and abroad.

The new relationship began with the Canaries’ pre-season tour of Austria, which included first team friendly matches on the 20th and 23rd July.

Simplexity Travel will then procure accommodation and travel for City’s senior squad for all 23 away league fixtures during the Sky Bet Championship season. In addition, the company will manage the travel requirements for all of the Club’s staff who are based at Carrow Road.

Having spent the last few years coordinating global arena tours for some of the world’s major artists, it was inevitable that Simplexity Travel would look to apply its talents to the footballing world, where complicated itineraries and large-scale operations are similarly the name of the game.

Simplexity Travel has been working on an ad-hoc basis with Premier League teams, sorting travel arrangements for players on a professional and personal level. However it was always the company’s intention to develop a more all-encompassing role with a top club.

Mark Smith, Simplexity Travel’s Head of Business Development, comments: “We are very excited to be working with Norwich City Football Club on an official footing. We are confident that the savings the club will make by tapping into our resources will be enormous. And not just in a financial sense. Instead of spending hours making – and changing – travel plans, in-house staff can now direct their efforts elsewhere. Most important of all, by ensuring travel, transfers and hotel bookings are hassle free, City will get the best out of their players on the pitch.”

Ben Kensell, Norwich City Football Club’s Commercial Director, added: “This is a lucrative and long-term partnership for us. Simplexity Travel has worked with other top flight clubs and is therefore familiar with the football industry. The service and the skill-sets it offers are massively valuable to us. We particularly like how it is able to offer a complete travel management journey from start to finish. Rather than use different providers for flights, transfers and hotels, it is the one who can connect the dots and provide one point of contact. This is an excellent partnership for everyone at the club and we are delighted to have Simplexity Travel as part of our partnership portfolio.”
