HeadBox features in 2016’s Startup 100 list

HeadBox, the UK’s first on-line marketplace for creative, inspiring and off-site event spaces, has gained a place in the influential 2016 Startups 100 list as featured in The Guardian, The Daily Telegraph and Forbes.
Recognising entrepreneurialism, the Startups 100 index shines a spotlight on the start-up market and acknowledges creativity, innovation and ambitious business growth. Now in its seventh year Startups 100 celebrates privately owned companies which demonstrate innovation, solid financials, economic impact and has a reputation for uncovering businesses that will go on to become household names.

HeadBox’s inclusion in Startups 100 list underlines how the company is disrupting the traditional model for finding and marketing meeting and event spaces. Since its launch in October 2015, HeadBox has processed thousands of enquires and bookings, as well as doubling the unique visitors to its website. It has also unlocked 2,500 under-utilised spaces across the capital including: coffee shops, art galleries, dance and yoga studios, theatres and bars resulting in additional revenues to the venues.

Andrew Needham, CEO of HeadBox comments, “To be included in the list is a huge boost for me and the team. It’s widely recognised that the start-up community is flourishing, so to be featured as one of the top 100 is hugely gratifying. Headbox’s business model is challenging an out-dated way of doing business and this recognition can only further help us gain market share within the venue and hotel community”.
