Yellow Zebra Safaris introduces Kenya as a hot new destination for 2016

Yellow Zebra Safaris
Yellow Zebra Safaris, the luxury and adventure travel company specialising in ‘Safari Africa’, is delighted to welcome the beautiful country of Kenya to its growing portfolio. With its outstanding national parks, vast, grassy plains, fantastic Big Five sightings and beautiful beaches, Kenya is undoubtedly one of Africa’s top safari destinations.
The Foreign and Commonwealth Office has now lifted its travel advisory for Kenya (in place since 2013) and Yellow Zebra Safaris is thrilled to be able to offer clients the chance to visit this enthralling country that perfectly embodies the spirit of Africa.

Of all Kenya’s incredible national parks, the Maasai Mara in the southwest of the country, is undoubtedly the most famous. Renowned for the remarkable Great Migration, nail-biting river crossings, its big cats and superb game viewing, the Maasai Mara and its surrounding conservancies are a must-visit for anyone planning a safari to Kenya. To the southeast lies Amboseli, located near the Tanzanian border, offering picturesque views of snow-capped Mount Kilimanjaro and a chance to observe huge herds of elephant. Neighbouring Amboseli is Kenya’s hidden treasure, the Chyulu Hills – an area offering exceptional luxury safaris in one of the country’s most untouched parks.

Other well known areas offered by Yellow Zebra Safaris inlcude Tsavo East and Tsavo West, famous for its huge elephants; Samburu; Matthews Range; Meru National Park, a brilliant off-the-beaten-track alternative; and Laikipia, in Central Kenya, increasingly being recognised as one of Kenya’s best wildlife areas and home to a high percentage of East Africa’s rhino population. For travellers who like to combine beach and bush, the Kenyan Coast offers outstanding beaches and a great choice of luxury accommodation in Diani, Watamu and Lamu Archipelago.

Not only does Kenya offer incredible scenery, some of the very best luxury safari lodges, year-round appeal and direct flights from London, the game viewing is among the most spectular in Africa. Highlights include the Big Five - lion, leopard, elephant, black rhino and buffalo - along with cheetah, hippo, Nile crocodile, giraffe, antelope and, between July and October in the Maasai Mara, guests may also witness the spectacle of the Great Migration, where huge herds of wildebeest, zebra, gazelle, impala and eland traverse the plains in search of fresh grass.

Yellow Zebra Safaris’ in-house Kenya expert, Jodie has not only travelled extensively in Kenya, she has worked at a number of the country’s leading safari lodges. Drawing on her personal experinces and exceptional country knowledge, Jodie can advise clients on the best lodges, national parks and beach resorts to create their ideal itinerary to ensure they get the most out of their Kenya holiday, whether for couples, families, solo travellers, groups or those embarking on their very first safari. There is also a dedicated support team on the ground to ensure everything runs smoothly and that guests have an unforgettable safari experience.

For a classic Kenya safari experience, Yellow Zebra Safaris suggests their Kenya Highlights Itinerary, which begins in Nairobi and takes in Samburu and the Maasai Mara before concluding at Diani Beach.
