The Appointment Group holds its 2016 annual conference

The Appointment Group’s annual conference took place in Manchester on Saturday 30 January 2016. The company’s London and Manchester offices joined representatives from the company’s international offices in New York, Los Angeles, Atlanta, Sydney, Melbourne and Singapore to review the group’s performance in 2015 and discuss plans and objectives for the coming year.

The Doubletree by Hilton Manchester Piccadilly hosted the company’s 170 delegates for the presentations and accommodation; the gala dinner took place at the Lowry Hotel and the international flights provided by Virgin Atlantic and Delta.

The conference theme of ‘Growth though Excellence’ was designed to bring together the company’s six specialist divisions of Corporate Travel, Touring, Private Clients, Events, Film and Media and Sports with some shared goals, common practice and greater understanding of the company’s vision. New office openings, enhanced technology and IT infrastructure and improving global communications were key messages.

Staff turned detective for the afternoon’s crime solving activity and learned the art of finger printing, creating a e-photofit and hunting for clues from ex-Scotland Yard officers including a visit to the ‘crime scene’ at the company’s Manchester office.

Ian Patterson, Joint Chief Operating Officer, commented: “Our conference is an ideal opportunity to kick off the year, share our plans for 2016 and communicate objectives. It’s also a chance for staff to network and have fun, which is a key ingredient to growing great teams and excellent service”.

The Appointment Group’s US Conference will take place in March and the Asia Pacific Conference is planned for November.
