GTMC autumn conference to look to the impact of the economy on business travel and the ongoing aviation debate

This November the GTMC will host its annual autumn UK conference covering the changing and future landscape of business travel. The programme will feature a host of speakers including Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee and MP for Altrincham and Sale West; Champa Magesh, managing director UK, Amadeus; and British Olympic athlete, Steve Backley OBE.

The conference will take place at the Sheraton Park Lane, Piccadilly on 3 November 2015, with over 150 business travel professionals expected to attend including representatives from leading TMCs, airlines, train companies, airports, technology providers and much more. The UK event follows the hugely successful overseas conference which was held in June this year in Brussels.

The morning sessions will feature presentations from a number of leading names in the business travel sector. Graham Pickett, global head of aviation and travel at Deloitte will present a session on ‘Where is the economy going and what is the likely impact for travel?’ David Lewis CEO and founder of research business AudienceNet; Anthony Rissbrook, chair of the Surface Transport Strategy Group and managing director of Hillgate Travel and Penny White, sales manager, Avis Budget will join a debate on ‘Car rental and the business traveller – a new survey.’

Later sessions in the afternoon will address airport capacity, airline trends and aviation issues with presentations from a number of speakers including Graham Brady, chairman of the 1922 Committee and MP for Altrincham and Sale West; Champa Magesh managing director UK, Amadeus and Andrew Lobbenberg, head of European equity research, HSBC. The day closes with a session on ‘Commit to Performance’ with Olympic athlete Steve Backley OBE and Paul Hannam of business coaching company, BackleyBlack.
