HGA announces valuable industry content for HGA Global Forum

Hosts Global Alliance (HGA) has released a sneak peak at the list of educational content that will be presented at the 3rd Annual HGA Global Forum in Boston, Massachusetts. HGA DMC members and clients, meeting and incentive planners, will gather together for networking and education at the Royal Sonesta Boston, July 30th – August 3rd.

Keeping with their reputation as the leader in the DMC industry, HGA has lined up an impressive group of speakers to present on current hospitality trends and topics. The list of speaks includes Dave McGillivray, Founder of Dave McGillivray Sports Enterprises (DMSE), who will deliver a keynote session on leadership at the John F. Kennedy Presidential Library & Museum. McGillivray is best known by his peers as a professional with a purpose. From his extraordinary run across the U.S. to benefit the Jimmy Fund and Dana-Farber Cancer Institute, to serving as technical director and then race director of the BAA Boston Marathon since the 1980’s, McGillivray has helped to organize more than 900 mass participatory events since founding DMSE in 1981, while also raising millions for worthy causes.

Joining HGA from ECPAT-USA, is Michelle Guelbart to discuss how the travel industry can assist in the war on human trafficking. As the Director of Private Sector Engagement for ECPAT-USA, Guelbart advises companies on corporate social responsibility efforts to protect children from human trafficking. She has contributed to Congressional testimony and multi-stakeholder engagement efforts, including the World Economic Forum, Institute of Medicine, and the White House National Action Plan on Responsible Business. Guelbart has been recognized for her achievements and named a 2014 Changemaker by MeetingsNet.

Another notable HGA Global Forum speaker is Michael Robinson, Cyber Threat Analyst, Forensic Investigator, and Professor, who will discuss the importance of creating an event that is secure from technological attacks. Over the past ten years, Robinson has specialized in computer and mobile device forensics, cyber security, and analyzing systems for threats, while developing practical solutions. As the former CIO of the U.S. Department of Defense’s Business Transformation Agency, Robinson oversaw all information technology and information assurance operations for the agency.

When asked about the extraordinary lineup of HGA Global Forum speakers, Marty MacKay, DMCP, President of Hosts Global Alliance, remarked, “We are delighted with the array of speakers that will be presenting at the HGA Global Forum. We stand behind our pledge to bring our attendees timely and valuable industry content, and that is precisely what we are prepared to deliver.”
