BLP sole legal sponsor of the BHA Hospitality & Tourism Summit 2015

International law firm Berwin Leighton Paisner (BLP) will, for the second year running, partner with the BHA as the sole legal sponsor of the 2015 Hospitality&Tourism Summit on 30 June. Karen Friebe, BLP’s Hotels Group Partner, will chair a panel of senior industry figures who will discuss “The Economic Contest,” debating how the UK can adapt its strategies to take advantage of the anticipated rise in global tourism figures.

As identified in BLP’s 2015 European Hotel Market Survey, the last 12 months have seen increased activity within the UK hospitality sector, particularly hotels, which are becoming a much sought after commodity by overseas investors. BLP’s Hotels Group has been involved in a number of UK transactions where buyers have secured deals only after winning through against other bidders in a highly-competitive process.

The Summit is the perfect platform for industry leaders to hear about and exchange views on the latest news and thinking on matters that lie at the heart of their business. It brings together people with a passion for the hospitality sector, who want to make a difference by looking at innovative ways to drive inward investment, increase visitor spending and create more jobs in hospitality and tourism in the UK.

Karen Friebe comments: “The BHA is one of the leading industry bodies and this Summit brings together leaders to discuss the latest issues in the hospitality sector. Taking part in the Summit will assist our understanding of the current issues that are on the minds of hospitality executives and enable us to put forward solutions-driven advice to our clients.”
