New business in Storr for Liz Wood Associates

Hospitality sales consultants, Liz Wood Associates (LWA), has this month secured the opportunity to deliver a comprehensive sales and marketing programme for the refurbished Storrs Hall Hotel, a Grade II listed former Georgian mansion house set in 17 acres of grounds on the shores of Lake Windermere.

LWA will be focusing the first part of their sales campaign on developing the Hotel’s conference and meeting business, with the venue able to offer events up to 40 delegates in The Counties Meet room, which gains its name from the marker outside the room showing where the old counties of Westmorland and Cumberland met.  The John Bolton room has space for up to 20 delegates and The Study holds 10-12 delegates.  All rooms have breathtaking views of the hotel grounds and Lake Windermere.  The Hotel is also available for exclusive use corporate events and away-days.

Liz Wood of LWA said: ‘We are delighted to be working with such a prestigious venue.  It has a rich heritage, superb service and is an idyllic venue for businesses looking for both space and peace for training sessions and meetings.’

‘The Hotel is investing in the team at LWA to bring the venue to the forefront of buyer’s attention using a long term sales and marketing strategy to develop corporate relationships and grow its business.’

‘It is also a wonderful addition to the portfolio of conference centres, city centre and seafront hotels that LWA represents, and a great start to business in 2015!’

LWA also represents hotel and conference venues such as the independent Barton Grange Hotel Preston, The Apollo Basingstoke, Best Western Cresta Court Altrincham, Mercure Southampton Dolphin Hotel, Ringwood Hall Derbyshire and The Belmont Hotel Leicester.

The 30 bedroom Storrs Hall hotel has undergone a refurbishment to offer guests rooms with a luxurious feel, traditional character and warmth.  All rooms are en-suite, with all modern comforts and many offering mountain or lake views.  Storrs Hall Hotel is also keeping some pretty prestigious company, having just been awarded a third AA Rosette for the quality of its food.  Storrs is among only 21 properties in the UK to be awarded three rosettes this year, and the only one in the Northwest of England.
