Nominations now open for The miaList 2015!

Thousands of individuals across the country contribute to the success of the UK meetings and events industry and now is the perfect opportunity to nominate the very best amongst them for the ultimate industry accolade - a miaList Award.
The miaList Awards recognise the individuals who inspire those around them, go above and beyond the call of duty and have a positive impact on their business. The awards are free to enter and this year three new categories have been launched; Leadership Award, Rising Star Award and Innovation Award. Plus another first for this year is a special award recognising the team of the year.

Jane Longhurst, mia’s chief executive is calling out to the industry to recognise the talent surrounding them. “Retaining and recognising talent in the industry is critical for stability and growth and there couldn’t be a better time to celebrate the talent in the sector during the mia’s 25th year. The miaList is a fantastic opportunity to learn about and celebrate those people that have helped to make the UK meetings industry exceptional and to hold them up as examples of excellence. Our winners don’t just do their job they do it with enthusiasm and produce truly impressive outcomes time after time”.

Nominations are now open and anyone working in the industry can submit a nomination. Nominees must be working in the meetings, hospitality or events industry in the UK or Ireland.

The categories are:
Conference People;
Food & Beverage People;
Front of House People;
Sales & Marketing People;
Support People;
and Housekeeping People.

The deadline for nominations is 5pm on 1st May. All nomination forms will be reviewed by the panel of judges and shortlisted applicants will be invited to attend a ‘Judging Lunch’ with a short interview. The winners will be announced at the miaList Awards on 28th September 2015 at Park Plaza Riverbank, London.

Judge and supporter Steve Knight, event director, The Meetings Show is delighted to be joining the panel this year. “The miaList continues to be the benchmark for recognition of an individual’s contribution to their organisation and the industry as a whole. The mia’s decision to expand the awards to include additional categories such as innovation and in particular, leadership allows us to spot those individuals who will remain at the forefront of the industry, shaping the meetings and events sector for years to come”.
