Capita Travel and Events launches consulting services at The Business Travel Show

Sam Welch and Chris Truss
Capita Travel and Events has announced the official launch of its consulting services at The Business Travel Show in London. The consulting services improve cost savings for businesses across all travel categories, enhance traveller satisfaction and wellbeing, whilst helping businesses achieve their strategic goals.

The services include a wide range of support and advice for companies of all sizes. It includes supplier sourcing, preferred programme management, policy reviews, analytics and outsourced travel optimisation managers and technical specialists who can help businesses succeed in these areas.

Capita’s consulting services have been developed to address the many challenges that UK companies can experience with business travel; often, a wider view of the market and trends is absent, customer resources to execute changes to travel policies, programmes and traveller behaviour are stretched and internal support with day-to-day delivery is limited.

Chris Truss, Capita Travel and Events’ director of consulting services for air, rail and ground transportation and his equivalent for accommodation and meetings, Sam Welch, have been working together on developing the services.

Chris commented: “Over the last few years Capita has invested in a series of acquisitions bringing together the leading specialists in business travel, accommodation, meetings and events to create one powerfully unique business. That puts Capita Travel and Events in a unique position in terms of expertise, knowledge and resources.”

Sam Welch continued: “We’ve been listening to what customers need and have developed affordable consulting services following our evolution in this market. Using our specialist technology, insightful management information and comprehensive, market-leading data we are able address long-term strategies to create opportunities for businesses and their travellers.”
