AlliedPRA Northern California celebrates 10 Years

AlliedPRA Northern California, a leading destination management company (DMC) in the Northern California region is celebrating 10 years with AlliedPRA, Inc., according to Liz Keyser and Ferris Suér, founders and principal owners of AlliedPRA Northern California and AlliedPRA Hawaii. The team is set for a year-long celebration, marking this historic milestone and industry accomplishment.

Many changes have occurred during the 10 years in the industry, yet through all it, the team still believes success depends on the partnership and service AlliedPRA provides its clients. Over the years, the team learned first-hand the importance of going above and beyond to create the one-on-one trust between a client and a service provider. AlliedPRA Northern California excels at this. From the beginning, AlliedPRA Northern California was different. “Our creativity and unparalleled services, which is a result of our passion for the infinite details of our business, have given us a leg up,” shared Keyser. “After 10 years the team continues to shine, which is a testament to the service, hard work and dedication of our entire staff. Joining AlliedPRA has been a wonderful success story for us and we look forward to many years ahead with this great system.”

With backgrounds in tour and transportation operation, Keyser and Suér partnered to open a boutique DMC in San Francisco in 2004, which focused on detailed destination programs from special events, to transportation and project management for several well-known firms. Realizing the team wanted a global reach and system to share tools, best practices and a global sales force for lead generation, Keyser and Suér decided to join the AlliedPRA system in 2005 and never looked back. After 10 years the partnership is going strong and the Northern California team continues to shine. As the first ADMC in the San Francisco region, the team quickly grew from a staff of two to 15; one of the largest DMCs in San Francisco. In 2012 the team expanded to include sales representative in the wine country of Napa and Sonoma as well as Monterey to better serve its client base and just this past year, the team expanded into Hawai’i, opening AlliedPRA Hawaii on Oahu.

“I love our industry,” said Keyser. “I love walking into a spectacular event my company helped create and then watching the faces of our clients when they walk in, knowing it was designed for them. I still get a thrill out of the ‘wow’ factor. We have the opportunity to interact with people from all over the world in every type of business or association. I can’t wait to see what the next decade brings for our team and the DMC industry as a whole.”

The award-winning AlliedPRA Northern California team was the recent recipient of the 2014 ISES Esprit Award for Best Corporate event, as well as several awards from the Association of Destination Management Executives International (ADMEI). The team prides itself on the strong industry involvement. Keyser is a Past President of Meeting Professionals International (MPI) Northern California and ADMEI. Suér is on the Board of Directors for San Francisco Travel, the convention and visitors bureau for the Bay Area and other team members have served in volunteer positions for MPI, PCMA and ISES, as well as being members of GMIC and SITE.
