Six German Convention Bureau partners to extend reach in US & Canada with multi-year marketing programme

Frankfurt ,Hamburg, Maritim Hotels, Munich, Nuremberg and Stuttgart participate in exclusive North America Packages

In order to extend Germany’s position as a top international meetings destination, the German Convention Bureau (GCB) today announced that six of its partners will participate in a first-of-its-kind communications and relationship-building program in the US and Canada.

Convention bureaus in Hamburg, Munich, Nuremburg, Stuttgart & Frankfurt as well as Maritim Hotels will participate in this multi-year effort spanning through to 2018.  

Themes for the programme will tie in with the core objectives of creating meeting experiences that are unique, on-budget and on-strategy by offering innovation, key industries expertise, and strong value/ROI.  

Matthias Schultze, managing director of the GCB, commented on the new programme: “The North American market is a very important one for the German meetings industry and we want to continue to create new ways to further connect with planners in the United States and Canada.  

“We’re pleased that each of the programme participants has something interesting and fresh to share and together they help tell the story of what Germany can offer.”  

The new programme will be managed by the GCB’s North America office in New York City headed by Laura d’Elsa.
