National Events Month (#NEMO) continues success with Outdoor, Sporting, Cultural and Musical events

National Events Month has announced its Outdoor, Music, Cultural and Sporting week. The UK has become one of the most popular destinations for outdoor events, a sector worth £1.1bn. Sporting events account for £2.3bn, with music events at £1.3bn and festivals and cultural events at £1.1bn, making up a stunning £5.8bn industry.

The Outdoor events sector ranges from festivals, music, agriculture shows, sporting and charity events small or large. Outdoor events are great for Britain’s event industry because of the large crowds they attract, an increasing trend since the 2012 London Olympics.

National Events Month is a celebration of how GREAT Britain’s events are, which is why Britain for Events has dedicated an event week to outdoor, music, cultural and sporting events.

The week will kick off with a host event with the Association of Independent Festivals, taking place in Cardiff on the 17th – 18th October.

The Association of Independent Festivals will be hosted over two days, with an array of inspiring speakers from the outdoor event industry. An award party will be held during the event, which will celebrate the very best of festival events and the hard work of the members involved.
