One of Southern Africa’s foremost destination management companies, Green Route Africa, reports there has never been a better time than right now for groups to visit the country; thanks to the incredible exchange rate.

Director of sales and marketing for Green Route Africa, Yolanda Woeke- Jacobs, reports that many international currencies have increased in value in comparison to the rand in recent years, with some by well over 20 per cent.

The value of the British Pound in May 2011 was equivalent to 11.21 South African rand whereas in August 2014 it was equivalent to 17.34 rand. This is an increase in value of 54% in the last three years.

Through its bankers, Green Route Africa is also able to assist clients with incentive programs to buy forward, thereby obtaining an even more favourable and guaranteed rate.

With superb hotel properties including well-known brands such as Belmond, Four Seasons, Westin and Taj, great infrastructure, modern airports, amazing wildlife, top quality food and wine, and direct flights from London and other European hubs, South Africa really is one destination that makes sense for meetings and incentive travel rewards.

Green Route Africa has been involved in providing a wide range of services across a broad spectrum of tourism for more than 30 years. The company’s main business is incoming tourism from all over the world in the form of individual travellers, groups, meetings, incentives, conferences and exhibitions.
