Synergy Health on board as new British Hospitality Association partner

In an industry whose success lies on reputation, reputation, reputation, there’s no place for complacency.  Efficient and engaging employees, high standards of cleanliness and hygiene, adherence to the law and excellent customer service; these are the basics of any successful hospitality or tourist business.

With this in mind, the British Hospitality Association has welcomed a new partner, Genon Laboratories, part of Synergy Health Laboratory Services (SHLS). Genon Laboratories are market leading in food testing analysis including allergens and authenticity. SHLS provides toxicology and general pathology services including workplace drug and alcohol testing to a variety of industries where safety is of great importance.

By partnering with the BHA, Genon and SHLS will be able to support BHA members across the spectrum, including hotels, restaurants, serviced apartments, clubs and visitor attractions, by offering a range of services including alcohol and drug testing for employees and a wide range of food testing practices offering guidance and expertise in the food safety sector; especially useful in light of the new allergen legislation which will come into play in December 2014.

Synergy Health offers a vast range of outsourced services including:
• Infection control
• Laboratory services
• Workplace drug and alcohol policy services
• Food testing to include allergens and authenticity

Chris Fullerton, Managing Director of Synergy Health Laboratory Services, said:  “We believe that we can help businesses to achieve improved outcomes by working collaboratively across industry sectors, and our vision is to build a lasting reputation as the trusted experts within our market sectors.  We are therefore delighted to be working with the British Hospitality Association and its members, many of whom are leaders in the hospitality sector.  It is through working together than we can strive to exceed expectation in the field of safety in terms of employees and customers.”

Ufi Ibrahim, Chief Executive of the British Hospitality Association:  “Setting, maintaining and communicating the highest standards of safety and responsible hospitality is at the core of the BHA’s mission.  We are delighted to have Genon Laboratories and Synergy Health on board as a member and we share their vision of collaborative working to achieve the highest standards possible in the hospitality industry.”
