Travel 2 takes agent training to the next level with launch of new ‘T2 FAM School’

Following the success of Travel 2’s online training programme, ‘T2 Academy’ the worldwide tour operator is launching a brand new agent training scheme – the ‘T2 FAM School’.
As part of the new ‘T2 FAM School’, Travel 2 has committed to sending upwards of 200 travel agents over the course of 2014 to 15 countries – an investment of over £200,000. Destinations on the list include; South Africa, Barbados, Maldives, New South Wales, Dubai, Hong Kong, New Zealand, Thailand, Vietnam and Fiji.

Travel 2’s main aim for the scheme is for the ‘T2 FAM School’ to equip agents with knowledge that can only be gained by experiencing products on FAM trips.

Travel 2 understand the benefits of training and the importance of FAM trips for agents, giving those who sell Travel 2 products the opportunity to experience what they offer is vital in improving sales.

Gordon McCreadie, sales and marketing director, Travel 2, comments: “Over 3000 agents have registered for the T2 Academy since its launch in 2012. With over 51,000 modules completed, covering destinations, air product and ground suppliers, it’s clear that training is a key aspect of Travel 2’s partnership with travel agents. The success we’ve seen over recent years was the driving force behind the launch of the new T2 FAM School. Travel 2 is a big believer in helping agents develop their knowledge to improve sales. First-hand experience of products is key to this and this is why we’re offering so many FAM trip places as part of our new T2 FAM School this year.”

The opportunities for agents to travel are getting less and less and Travel 2 are committed to keeping agents engaged with the products they sell, excited about the opportunities on offer to them and keeping them on top of the latest information and sales skills.
