Supranational Hotels deliver industry training to students of the Giles Business Travel Academy

Supranational Hotels has partnered with The Giles Business Travel Academy to support its unique business education and vocational training programme, by offering two work-based placements at the group’s London head office as well as delivering a guest seminar to the students at the Academy as part of their educational course.

The Giles Business Travel Academy programme offers students a mix of academic and hands-on vocational training with the goals of improving the level of fresh talent entering the industry, as well as arming the graduates with the business knowledge and expertise to ensure they go far in their chosen careers.

Senior directors within Supranational Hotels - including Managing Director Cho Wong, Sales and Marketing Director Natalia Hall and International Corporate Sales Manager Robert Koncz (pictured attached with the students) - delivered presentations and workshops covering the complexity yet simplicity of hotel distribution technologies, corporate business development, price and yield management and maximising the relationship between buyer and supplier.

At the Supranational Hotels’ office, the students were tasked with applying knowledge learned from both the academic course and vocational training across a number of hospitality organisations working with the programme, to work-based projects set by the Supranational team.

Cho Wong, Managing Director of Supranational Hotels, comments, “It was a pleasure to work with students of The Giles Business Travel Academy. The candidates demonstrated a real hunger for learning and developing their knowledge and it was a delight for us to support this worthwhile entry to the market.”

Kerry Rimmer of The Giles Business Travel Academy also commented, “We are extremely grateful for the support of Supranational Hotels. As an established business with over 40 years’ experience, Supranational understands the dynamics of the business travel world and huge range of opportunity the industry presents to students looking to make their mark, and we look forward to working with them again.”
