‘Live Experience Creatives’ launches

International Confex hosted the launch of a new organisation for creative event professionals yesterday. Live Experience Creatives aims to share inspiration, celebrate excellence and provide a forum for creatives to meet.
Supported by the International Special Event Society (ISES) UK Chapter, Live Experience Creatives has a founding committee made up of creative heads from George P Johnson, Smyle, Jack Morton and Live Union. The organisation was initiated following a meeting, late last year at London & Partners of twenty senior creatives, which supported the need for such a body.

“Unlike other creative sectors, live events and experiential creatives have no exclusive forum through which to meet. We aim to change that by providing the opportunity for junior designers, freelancers and creative leads to come together, share ideas and showcase great work,” commented Live Union’s Jez Paxman who is chairing Live Experience Creatives.

“We’re delighted to be supporting this initiative and to encourage new forums for creative event professionals to meet and share best practice,” comments Jane Hague, President ISES UK Chapter. “ISES is fully behind the Live Experience Creatives and will work with the group to share its findings with our membership.”

The organisation will be holding its first event in May, its wider aims include promoting the industry to students on creative courses, working with awards programmes to recognise creativity and establishing a portfolio sharing resource for freelance talent.

As a new organisation Live Experience Creatives is keen to hear the thoughts of as many event creatives as possible. People working in creative roles in events (or studying to be) such as writers, designers, art directors, creative directors and creative strategists are invited to join the Live Experience Creatives group on Linkedin.
