Grass Roots listed in Sunday Times Best Companies to Work For 2014

Grass Roots, the world’s leading provider of employee and customer engagement solutions, announces today that the company features in the Sunday Times Top 100 list of Best Companies to Work For 2014. A total of 897 organisations entered the survey this year, with over 250,000 employees surveyed. At last night’s Awards Celebration, held at Battersea Evolution in London, all companies who entered were ranked and Grass Roots was placed 97th. Headquartered in Tring, Hertfordshire, Grass Roots UK has now featured 6 times in the Top 100.

Particularly noteworthy employee survey responses reveal strong commitment at Grass Roots. Half the staff have worked for the company for five or more years, with almost one in five notching up at least a decade of service. Ranked 26th in the ‘Wellbeing’ category, staff stress levels appear to be low and many feel they have struck a good balance between work and home life.

Employees at Grass Roots also think that the company puts enough back into the local community with a score of 71% - only 11 firms scored higher in this area. Encouraging charitable activities (an 87% score) is the norm at Grass Roots, with weekly dress-down Fridays, volunteering opportunities , initiatives for environmentally friendly commuters and local sports and arts sponsorship, just some of the good deeds that contribute towards the positive workplace.

The first 'Best Companies to Work For' list was produced in 2001. Through anonymous employee surveys, organisations are enabled to listen to their workforce’s opinions so they can improve employee engagement. Each year Best Companies survey hundreds of thousands of employees from around the world.
