M60 tops list of ten most popular weapons at MGV

A weapon so big it requires two or three people to operate it has topped the first-ever list of most popular weapons at Machine Guns Vegas.
“We thought it would be interesting to see what weapons were rented most often. I have to admit, the results were a little surprising,” said managing partner Genghis Cohen.
“Maybe they shouldn’t be, though. Many of the weapons that made the list include the high-firepower ones made popular by video games. They offer a bigger thrill than your usual handgun or machine gun,” he said.

The luxury machine gun shooting range opened in February 2012 at 3501 Aldebaran Ave. off Spring Mountain Road, just minutes off The Strip.   The 10,000-square-foot facility includes a luxurious alcohol-free lounge, a wide assortment of weapons, complimentary refreshments and staff who are NRA-certified instructors.   It includes a luxurious alcohol-free lounge, indoor shooting range with two private firing lanes, large plasma TVs and complimentary refreshments.

range from handguns to fully automatic machine guns to vintage World War II weapons. Also available are weapons used by U.S. Navy Seals. The top ten list is as follows:
  1. The M60 is a belt-fed machine gun that fires cartridges usually used in larger rifles and generally is operated by two or three people. (The gun’s weight and amount of ammunition make it difficult for one person. Introduced in 1957, it’s been used in every branch of the U.S. military and still is used by other armed forces.
2. The M249 SAW (Squad Automatic Weapon) is a light machine gun widely used by the U.S. armed forces. It was introduced in 1984 to provide the machine gun’s volume of fire combined with the rifle’s portability and accuracy.
3. The M4 features lightweight mobility, speed of target acquisition and potent firepower capability. It is the U.S. armed forces’ weapon of choice, prov56iding the accuracy, firepower and dependability of the 5.56mm rifle.
4. The AK-47 is a selective-fire assault rifle developed by Mikhail Kalashnikov in the former USSR and adopted by the Soviet Armed Forces in 1949. The AK-47 and its variations are the world’s most popular assault rifle due to their low production cost, durability and ease of use.
5. The Heckler & Koch MP5 is a 9mm German-designed submachine developed in the 1960s that has more than 100 variations including a semi-automatic one. It is one of the most used submachines, adopted by numerous security, military, intelligence and law enforcement organizations.
6. The Thompson submachine gun, or “Tommy Gun,” became infamous during Prohibition. Its advantages included its compactness, large cartridge, reliability and high volume of automatic fire.
7. The FN SCAR (Special Operations Forces Combat Assault Rifle) is a modular rifle manufactured by Belgium’s FN Herstal for the U.S. Special Operations Command. It first was used in April 2009.
8. SIAGA 12 Gauge Full Auto is a Russian-manufactured 12-gauge combat shotgun (rotating bolt, gas operated)
9. The American-designed and -manufactured Desert Eagle is a gas-operated semi-automatic pistol featured in an estimated 500 motion pictures and TV movies.
