Under the Bridge sells out Vince Kidd gig

Under the Bridge, the music venue at Chelsea Football Club, has sold out a gig featuring Vince Kidd, finalist on the BBC’s The Voice, in association with Showcase Live.
Kidd’s first UK tour is hosted by Showcase Live, which has been an integral starting point for the careers of some of pops biggest names including Lawson, JLS and Jessie J. The aim of the evening is to bring a carefully selected handful of rising artists from around the UK to the attention of the general public, press and music industry.

The gig, set to take place on 20 June, sold out in just under a week and will see the soon-to-be-star perform on the venue’s iconic stage for an hour long set featuring his own brand of ghetto pop incorporating throwback soul and hip-hop.

Under the Bridge was chosen for the first of Kidd’s appearances in the UK as it offers an intimate feel for a 600 capacity venue, as well as state of the art lighting, sound equipment and recording systems along with fantastic acoustics.

Simon Hunter, Head of Venue and Brand at Chelsea FC, comments: “We are delighted to be working with Showcase Live – they are fantastic events for those looking to be inspired by new musical talent.  Vince Kidd will be very welcome on our stage, which has been home to both international stars and rising local musicians like. We’re sure Kidd is on the fast-track to stardom and can’t wait for him to appear to a sold out Under the Bridge”.

George Eason, Director of Showcase Live, adds: “Our acts are carefully selected ensuring that we present up-and-coming artists in environments suitable to their talent and style. Under the Bridge is providing an ideal London venue for Kidd’s first mini headline tour and offering some of the best facilities and technical specs we’ve ever worked with”.

Under the Bridge is the first date of Kidd’s three show tour, which is followed by gigs in Manchester and Brighton later in the month.
