Sunshine and Snowflakes wowed guests on Wednesday night at Chandos House
Chandos House, a Grade I listed Georgian Townhouse opened its doors on Wednesday 30th May for an exclusive evening event, showcasing the venue as somewhere to celebrate Christmas and enjoy the British summer in central London, just minutes from Oxford Circus and Bond Street. With over 100 guests in attendance, personal tours were conducted around the house to demonstrate the variety of different events the venue can cater for including meetings, corporate dinners, drinks receptions and themed parties. Guests were encouraged to soak up the last of the evening sun on the newly refurbished terrace with summery cocktails and tasty barbecued canapés.
Guests were also given a sneak peak of what Christmas at Chandos House will look like this year as the Robert Adams room was transformed into a winter wonderland, with Christmas trees and festive decorations, candles, an ice bar and a specially created Winter Pimms cocktail. Warming winter bowl food was also on the menu including sautéed seas bass fillet with a puy lentil and pancetta cassoulet, broccoli florets and red wine butter and roasted butternut squash and pea risotto topped with sautéed wild mushrooms, mixed cress, shaved parmesan and a pesto dressing.
A dessert station was also set up showcasing a gallery of edible art and guests were encouraged to try a variety of wines throughout the evening.
When guests registered to attend they were requested to share their favourite cocktail as one would be chosen and served on the night. Carmen Dos-Reis from Carlson Wagonlit who loves mojitos was delighted to find her favourite cocktail on offer and was also presented with her very own mojito making kit to take home.
Graham Robinson, director of Venue Finder Solutions, who attended Sunshine & Snowflakes said: “Thank you so much for your generous hospitality and a most successful evening. Congratulations to your team for great food and service. It was a pleasure to see people enjoying what they do and radiating this to the customers. We will include your property in our future offerings to clients and look forward to doing business together.”
Reflecting on the success of the event, Georgina Millar, meetings and events manager at Chandos House said: “It was lovely to see so many people enjoying themselves and showing a real interest in the venue. We heard from a number of people throughout the evening that they had known little about Chandos House before arriving and were really impressed with the venue, the event, food and service, which is what we are all about. We secured eight enquiries last night which is testament to the success of the evening and we look forward to helping execute these exciting events that are now in our diary.”
