Mica Paris to replace Heather Small at Manchester Live!
Conference buyers attending the Manchester Live destination showcase event next Thursday will be treated to a live set by soul singer, Mica Paris.She replaces former M People singer, Heather Small, who is no longer able to perform due to unforeseen circumstances.
Mica made an immediate impact on the UK music scene in 1988 when she released her debut, platinum-selling album So Good from which she had her first top ten hit, You Are My One Temptation.
More recently, she has presented on BBC Radio 2, taken part in ITV’s Celeb Air and performed at the 90th birthday celebrations of HRH The Duke of Edinburgh.
Paul Simpson, managing director of Visit Manchester, said: “We’re delighted that Mica will be performing at ManchesterLive. She is one of the UK’s most respected female singers and we’re sure she’ll be a hit with our guests.
“More than 400 people have pre-registered to attend the event and we’re looking forward to showing them what Manchester has to offer the conference organiser.”
Manchester Live takes place on Thursday, 10 May at The Roof Gardens, Kensington.
