etc.venues and Trinity Conferences on board the HBAA’s ‘Boss in a Boat’ fundraising event

The HBAA’s ‘Boss in a Boat’ fundraising initiative for the Royal National Lifeboat Institution (RNLI) is gathering steam with the announcement of the first crew who have agreed to be rescued from the sea.
Taking place on 2nd of May, Brendon Smith from etc.venues will be joined by Jacqui Kavannagh from Trinity Conferences and other crew members who will be cast adrift in waters off the south coast.

Floating in the middle of the sea, whatever weather, the fundraisers will be armed with mobile phones to call business associates, friends and family to help raise funds for the HBAA’s chosen charity for 2012, the RNLI.

Brendon Smith, head of business development, etc.venues, said, “This is a really great initiative of Chris’. I’m thrilled to be asked to take part and help raise funds for such a worthy cause. My colleagues at etc.venues are fully behind the ‘Boss in a Boat’ idea and I will certainly be contacting them as well as our clients on May 2nd to help us raise funds for the HBAA’s charity.”

Jacqui Kavannagh, managing director, Trinity Conferences, said, “I am so pleased that Trinity Conferences is  part of such an exciting fundraising challenge. I enjoy sailing and fully appreciate the value of the RNLI, hence my commitment to both the day and to raising as much money as we can.”

The HBAA’s Chairman, Chris Peacock, said, “It’s great to see Brendon and Jacqui agree to come on board the boat. We have more popular industry faces to announce over the coming days and hope that their teams get behind them as etc.venues and Trinity Conferences have.”

To keep up to date with announcements of other crew members who will be cast out to sea on 2nd May and for regular updates on funds raised for the RNLI follow the event’s official hashtag #HBAAinaboat.
