La Manga Club welcomes Leaders in Sport
Decision makers from across the world of sport are set to descend on La Manga Club in March for the third Leaders in Sport event.Last year’s conference at the luxury five-star resort attracted a stellar cast of names from some of the leading associations and companies in the industry, and this year promises to be no exception.
Representatives from European football’s governing body UEFA, the English Football Association, Liverpool, Chelsea and top sports broadcasters BSkyB have already confirmed their participation at the networking event from March 25-27.
The summit meeting will bring together around 100 senior-level executives for a host of key-note speeches and networking activities and a strong contingent of British sport representatives will be in attendance.
Tottenham, Rangers and the Welsh and Scottish football associations will be making an appearance, while away from football, rugby union’s Sale Sharks, Durham County Cricket Club, leading horse racing broadcasters Racing UK and the Rugby Football League (RFL) will all be present.
Continental delegates include Germany’s Hamburg Sport-Verein (HSV) and Ajax Football Club in Amsterdam, while a strong American presence features Major League Baseball (MLB) and World Wrestling Entertainment (WWE).
And they will be joined by a host of companies known for their strong links to sport including telecommunications giant BSkyB, Heineken International and Nokia.
The unique event will consist of a number of initiatives including dedicated speed networking sessions, round table discussions, and networking breakfasts, lunches and dinners. There will also be a corporate team building challenge and other organised sporting and social activities.
La Manga Club provides the perfect arena for such distinguished guests, as it is widely regarded as Europe’s premier resort for sports and meetings. It boasts eight full-scale sports pitches which continue to attract leading professional teams from the worlds of football, cricket and rugby. Further facilities include three 18-hole championship golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa complex.
