Murcia Seniors’ Tennis Open returns to La Manga Club this December

The popular Murcia Seniors’ Tennis Open returns to La Manga Club for its ninth outing from December 4-10, once again giving tennis players the perfect chance for some warm-weather winter competition.
With more than €8,000-worth of prizes up for grabs the tournament is sure to be hotly contested when it takes place at the five-star resort’s 28-court tennis centre, and, as an official International Tennis Federation seniors’ tournament, it also offers competitors valuable ranking points.

Singles and doubles competitions are taking place, ranging from over-35 to over-75 for men and over-35 to over-65 for ladies, with a selection of luxury tennis and leisure breaks and tennis equipment to be won.

Entry to the tournament costs just €40 and it is accompanied by a host of optional social events including a welcome cocktail reception for just €33 and a gala dinner and prizegiving costing €60.

Accommodation is available from less than €27 per person per night in the fully-serviced Las Lomas Village, or just €70 in the five-star Hotel La Manga Club Principe Felipe, with the latter including breakfast.

What’s more, all tournament guests receive 10 per cent discount on pre-booked spa treatments; complimentary access to Spa La Manga Club’s fitness centre, indoor pool, saunas and steam rooms; and free use of the tennis courts during their stay.

La Manga Club is also hosting the 11th Murcia Golf Open from December 5-10 to run alongside the tennis event.

La Manga Club boasts unrivalled facilities as a sport and leisure venue including three 18-hole championship golf courses, a 28-court tennis centre and a 2,000sqm spa and fitness centre. It also offers the choice of a five-star hotel, four-star serviced apartments and townhouses, more than 20 bars and restaurants.
