Nikki Beach launches exclusive pop-up on the Thames to celebrate the Olympic Games

Nikki Beach has made its mark on the world’s hottest locales around the world, from Miami to St. Barths, and now turns to London for an exclusive pop-up experience on the Thames-side setting of Trinity Buoy Wharf to celebrate the Games coming to the UK capital this July. Open Friday 27 July to Sunday 12 August, Nikki Beach London will cater for day, evening and VIP guests from 8am to 2am, bringing together dining, fashion, art, music and entertainment whilst transmitting live coverage of the Games throughout the 17 days.

The Old Swan in Harrogate to host 10th Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival

The Old Swan in Harrogate, a favourite of the queen of crime writers Agatha Christie, has once again been chosen as the host venue – most appropriately – for the 10th Theakstons Old Peculier Crime Writing Festival in July.
The Old Swan is a fitting venue for the festival as it is where legendary crime novelist Agatha Christie was eventually discovered after her mysterious disappearance in 1926, explains General Manager David Ritson: “Like all hotels within the Classic Lodges Group, the Old Swan is steeped in history,” he says.

Great City Attractions Global have confirmed their support for two Yorkshire based charities to receive donations from Great City Attractions Global’s giant observation wheel currently operating in the grounds of the Royal York Hotel.
The charities they have chosen are The York Minster Fund and The Duke of York’s Community Initiative.

UniSpace to host Sunderland’s Big Bike Ride

UniSpace, part of the University of Sunderland, will open its facilities to support this year’s ‘BIG Bike Ride’ in Sunderland on May 26th and 27th.
  The BIG Bike Ride is part of the Sunderland in 2012 programme of sporting and cultural events and opportunities, designed to celebrate the upcoming London Olympic and Paralympic Games.  Launched in 2011, the 2012 event has been significantly developed, with routes redesigned to provide a better cycling experience for all participants.

60 new buyers at City Fair 2012

In just under five weeks City Fair 2012, organised by the European Tour Operators Association (ETOA), will take place in London with more than 60 buyer companies attending the workshop for the first time.  Nearly 180 contractors and product developers have already been attracted by dozens of pre-scheduled appointments with relevant commercial contacts and the broad range of destinations on offer.
