Heathrow Express launches new mobile app and website
As part of the ongoing roll out of its new corporate identity, Heathrow Express has launched an updated version of its website and mobile application.Heathrow Express, the fastest way to travel between central London and Heathrow Airport was the first train company in the UK to launch a Blackberry and Android app in 2011. Now new free app functionality means customers can receive live service updates and purchase tickets delivered directly to their mobile.
For business travellers who are employees of companies and organisations that have a corporate trade account can book individual tickets via their phone without going through their travel department. This paperless ticketing also means no processing of expenses as the trade account is simply updated with any purchases made and users still reap the benefits of a trade account; more flexibility and a keener pricing structure.
The ongoing brand development of Heathrow Express was launched on March 7th after three years in development and creation and is the product of a £16 million investment. To date a new corporate identity has been launched with further investment including new uniforms and fleet to be introduced later this summer.
Michael Walker, Head of Commercial Development at Heathrow Express quotes “We have a series of continued innovations planned throughout the year to ensure we keep upgrading the online functionality for our business and leisure customers. These changes are the first in a long line of new developments due to launch throughout the year.”
