Strong booking levels for Informex 2013
Events organizer UBM Live have announced strong booking levels for Informex 20I3, North America’s leading networking event for buyers and sellers of high value chemistry. 248 exhibitors have already confirmed participation at the flagship show which takes place from February 19th to 22nd of 2013 at the Anaheim Convention Center, Anaheim, CA. Major pharmaceutical, fine and specialty chemical companies that have signed up for 2013 include Austin Chemical, Albemarle, BASF, Weylchem, DSM, Johnson Matthey, Solvay, AMRI, Evonik Degussa, Novasep, Future Fuel and Optima Chemical.“We are very pleased with booking levels to date and many exhibitors have also upgraded to larger booths,” commented Jim Buckley, UBM Live’s Informex Brand Director. He continued, “We experienced exceptional feedback to this year’s event in New Orleans, with post show surveys indicating that 94% of attendees said they were likely to do business with one or more exhibitors, while 85% of exhibitors said that they are either likely or very likely to recommend Informex to a colleague. We look forward to replicating or improving on these high levels of satisfaction next year in Anaheim.”
Now in its 29th year, Informex 2012 was held from 14th to 17th February at the Morial Convention Center, New Orleans and featured over 111 first time exhibitors, with the overall exhibitor group representing 24 countries. The annual event now rotates between a West Coast, East Coast and Middle US venue each year, to enable attendees to tap into new local markets and industries, as well as providing exhibitors with the opportunity to meet potential business partners across the entire country. Reflecting this pattern, Miami has ranked very highly on Informex exhibitor surveys as a future destination and is tentatively planned as a venue for 2014.
“We are confident that our exhibitors and visitors will enjoy visiting Anaheim in 2013 as this is a new venue for the show,” Buckley continued. “Anaheim is very accessible for our global visitors, being served by four major airports, while the newly redesigned Anaheim Convention Center is a superb, state-of-the art facility, which will provide a fitting setting for our exhibition, conferences and extensive networking events. Many large pharmaceutical companies have manufacturing operations in Orange County, including Pfizer, Teva, BMS and Valeant, also California is a major international hub for both the biotech and agrochemical industries, and we expect strong participation from all these sectors at our event. These factors, combined with the Mediterranean climate, make Anaheim an attractive venue for our customers.”
